LGV Fleet Instructor Training
The LGV Fleet Instructor training course is designed for candidates wishing to undertake the role of an in-house Instructor. The course will provide the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver LGV/HGV driver inductions, carry out driving assessments, deliver Driver CPC Periodic Training and remedial driver training. Courses are available at the RTITB Instructor Academy in Telford (UK), on your site, or as remote Instructor training for the theory element of the course.
By the end of the LGV Fleet Instructor course candidates will:
- Be able to plan, prepare, rehearse and deliver classroom training
- Be able to plan, prepare, rehearse and deliver remedial driver training
- Be able to conduct and provide written reports of driver assessments
- Be able to describe the role and responsibilities of an LGV Fleet Instructor
All candidates must successfully complete an independent examination to qualify as an RTITB Instructor – an internationally recognised qualification.
The LGV Fleet Instructor course is suitable for candidates who:
- Have held (or still hold) a valid category C or C+E entitlement for 3 years or more
- Have significant experience as professional LGV drivers
- Have the confidence to present to small and large groups of their peers
- Have strong knowledge of the Highway Code
- Have good communication skills

2 candidates, 1 instructor, 1 vehicle: 5 days £3810 (including examination fees)
LGV Fleet Instructor Re-reg
A course for currently qualified RTITB LGV Fleet Instructors who need to refresh their qualification and renew their registration.
1 candidate, 1 instructor, 1 vehicle: 3 days £2290 (including examination fees)
2 candidates, 1 instructor, 1 vehicle: 4 days £3050 (including examination fees)
