This is part of our commitment to staff wellbeing and our aim to help foster a happier, healthier, and more productive workforce. Which, in turn, supports safety. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the Thrive at Work programme?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thrive at Work is a health and wellbeing accreditation programme for workplaces across the West Midlands (where RTITB Head Office is based).<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wmca.org.uk\/what-we-do\/wellbeing\/thrive-at-work\/about-the-programme\/\">Thrive at Work programme<\/a> is designed to help create workplaces that promote health and wellbeing, based on clear criteria and guidelines. Funded by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/uk-shared-prosperity-fund-prospectus\/uk-shared-prosperity-fund-prospectus\">UK Shared Prosperity Fund<\/a> (UKSPF), the programme is open to organisations from any sector, with five or more employees.<\/p>\n<p>It focuses on key health-related workplace factors. These include attendance management, policies, and procedures. Plus, focus on employee mental, musculoskeletal and physical health, to encourage healthy lifestyles.<\/p>\n<p>The overall aim is to improve staff morale and help boost productivity. It does this through helping to reduce sickness, improve retention, and increase resilience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How it works<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are four levels to accreditation \u2013 Foundation, Bronze, Silver, and Gold. To achieve our Foundation level accreditation we have worked to identify wellbeing programme priorities. This included elements such as calculating the cost of poor health and wellbeing to RTITB. And identifying top causes of sickness absence and other emerging trends.<\/p>\n<p>This has enabled us to develop a plan of action to improve physical and mental health within our team.<\/p>\n<p>Our primary purpose is saving lives. By protecting our team and their mental health, we are empowering them to support our customers and their safety. <strong>We are committed to health and wellbeing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We believe that there should be significant focus on health and wellbeing in the workplace across our industry. This is essential for employee engagement and for helping us retain our amazing team in the long term. We trust that this will help us maintain a team that is happier, healthier, and more productive.<\/p>\n<p>Looking after our team ensures low staff turnover, enabling improved customer service. This helps our people to build strong relationships with our customers.<\/p>\n<p>For RTITB, being part of Thrive at Work helps us to maximise the potential of our team. We are always looking for creative solutions to our industry\u2019s challenges. And this is just one example of this in practice.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, it supports our core values of being honest and caring towards one another. We believe that supporting our team&#8217;s wellbeing, resilience, and health is crucial. She aims to empower the transport, warehousing, and logistics industries to achieve safety excellence.<\/p>\n<p>Her approach to leadership reflects her belief in the importance of the RTITB mission to save lives.<\/p>\n<p>Laura is a qualified Transport Manager and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iso.org\/standard\/62085.html#:~:text=What%20is%20ISO%209001%3F,demonstrate%20their%20commitment%20to%20quality.\">ISO9001<\/a>\u00a0Lead Auditor.
