RTITB has been awarded a Logistics Best Practice Award for its outstanding contribution to Omanization. The award, which is organized by Oman Logistics Center and Oman Logistics Association, was presented at a ceremony held at Al Bustan Palace Hotel, under the patronage of His Excellency Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat. The awards, which are now in their second year, took place on 30th April 2025, during the Omani Logistics Day, celebrating a theme of “Logstics Technologies and Investment”.
This award win recognized the creation of the RTITB Middle East business subsidiary, which shows RTITB’s strong commitment, and belief in in-country value in the Sultanate of Oman. As well as its dedication to reducing workplace risks and enhancing skills development in the region.
Celebrating RTITB’s contribution to Omanization
The Omanization category acknowledges and rewards companies that have innovative policies and procedures for recruiting, developing, training, and retaining Omani workers.
By establishing RTITB Middle East with a central office based in Muscat, RTITB has created an employment opportunity for around 6 local, talented graduates. Including roles in technical, quality, accreditation, instructor training, and sales.
Train-the-Trainer courses develop Instructors
RTITB is also adding value to the Omani and the Middle East workforce through its Train-the-Trainer Instructor courses. This gives professionals that are training heavy goods drivers, drivers of dangerous goods, earth-moving machinery operators or lifting equipment operators to achieve a recognized Instructor qualification, endorsed by RTITB’s international standards. This helps professionalize training careers for Instructors in the Middle East, while also providing career development opportunities.
Standardized certification for operators and drivers
In addition, RTITB Middle East has helped standardize training quality and certification for heavy and light vehicle drivers, drivers of dangerous goods, lifting equipment operators (including materials handling equipment and plant equipment), , and more.
This means that Omani and Middle East workers achieve a recognized qualification, demonstrating their important in the labor force.
Through course materials that teach an approved level of skills and knowledge, training candidates also leave their courses with the ability to be safer and more efficient. This helps reduce risk, protecting people and keeping them playing a valuable role within the workforce.
RTITB Accreditation supports training institutes
By providing the international standard of RTITB Accreditation , RTITB is also helping training institutes to show that they are a credible, compliant, and trusted provider. This enables these local companies to grow their business. Their customers do not need to look internationally for a high training standard, as they can be reassured it is available from a local Middle East institute.
