MHE Accreditation

Did you know that we’ve recently updated our RTITB Accreditation for organisations delivering MHE training in-house?

With a range of features and services included at no extra cost, our RTITB Accreditation service will help to keep your whole MHE operation compliant, not just your Basic forklift training. This service is unique to RTITB and we’re excited to be the first to help businesses with workplace transport operations to reduce risk and improve safety in this way!

Here are 5 ways that the new in-house RTITB Accreditation helps keep your forklift operations compliant.

1. Free Annual HealthCheck

Our great value RTITB Accreditation solution is specifically designed to improve business efficiency through proactive risk reduction, in-house resilience, and continued improvement. One way that we help you do that is by including an annual MHE training and operations compliance HealthCheck at no extra cost.

During a HealthCheck, qualified auditors and workplace transport specialists conduct a thorough review of all aspects of the organisation’s MHE training and operations, not just Basic Training. This includes everything from key custody arrangements and PPE usage to record keeping and Instructor qualifications.

Operations are assessed against relevant regulations, such as ACoP L117, and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines, resulting in an impartial report revealing potential risks and areas for improvement, as well as highlighting good practice. Importantly, the plain English report will recommend how you can take action now.

2. Eradicate ‘in-house’ training certificates

We know that it can be difficult to justify training spend for operators if your organisation has concerns that they will use their certificate to gain employment elsewhere. In the past, organisations have overcome this by issuing ‘in-house’ certificates, that did not have the backing and protection of RTITB Accreditation.

To help you put safety first while protecting your training investment, RTITB Accredited Partners now have the choice of whether MHE operator certificates are restricted for use exclusively within your business or can be transferable. Non-transferable registrations will not appear on the public database and certificates issued as non-transferable will clearly state this. Unlimited verification and joint-branded electronic certification for trained operators are included in the single annual accreditation fee.

3. Compliant training records

Another unique benefit of the new RTITB Accreditation solution is that organisations now receive unlimited licenses for the MyRTITB TrainingFriend app, which makes in-house MHE training administration and assessment 100% paperless. Paper-free means you can save money and time, as there is no need to buy, print or copy test marking sheets, training records or registration forms.

Plus, the clever app helps ensure accuracy in administration and assessment. Never forget to complete a field or use an out of date marking sheet again! This helps to improve both operator testing standards and training record compliance. And when its time for an audit, forget about the filing cabinet – all the MHE operator training records you need are easily accessed via the app.

4. Innovative training materials

RTITB Accreditation can also include licenses for eTruck UK, RTITB’s completely unique forklift and reach truck e-learning tool. By making it possible for candidates to complete theory training online, anytime, anywhere, at their own pace, this digital storytelling platform can reduce training time by up to two days per course. And by losing fewer working hours to training, you can maximise productivity and save money.

What’s more, eTruck uses a variety of engaging training methods that are designed to appeal to a wide range of learners and have a greater impact on operator behaviour. The back-end reporting also supports your Instructors, giving greater insight into candidates before they arrive for practical training.

The RTITB Accreditation option for organisations delivering in-house training also includes annual Instructor CPD days, access to our up-to-date e-library of all the professional training resources needed to deliver high quality, standardised training, a 20% discount on any courses booked at the RTITB Instructor Academy and full support from our team whenever you need it.

5. High standards….as standard!

To become RTITB Accredited for your in-house training and MHE operations, organisations must apply and fulfil certain criteria. The application process isn’t difficult, in fact, we try to make it as easy as possible and support you throughout. However, for us, it’s important that we ensure certain standards are set before we begin working together as partners. Only by doing so can we continue to provide an Accreditation service that enables businesses to benefit from complete peace of mind around legal and regulatory compliance.

Becoming an RTITB Accredited Partner costs from £3000 for one year, depending on exactly what you need to include in your package.
