The added extras that make RTITB Accreditation the right choice for your company

accreditation

For safety and compliance, most lift truck training courses in the UK are conducted through an Accredited training provider. For example, 80,000 people receive RTITB certificates every year. Training companies and in-house training teams have a choice of Accreditation bodies.

On the surface, they might look similar. However, there are some important things that make RTITB Accreditation for forklift training different.

More than just an Accreditation body

Firstly, we don’t see ourselves as ‘just’ an accrediting body. Our commitment is to save lives. Training is about more than just doing what is required legally. It is about doing what is right to keep people safe. We work with companies who are passionate about workplace transport safety to develop compliant and confident teams. It’s about working in partnership and saving lives together.

At the same time, our many years of experience in the lift truck industry give us unique insight. And with that, we are constantly innovating. Our aim is to find ways to make delivering accredited lift truck operator training simpler and safer. As well as more time efficient, and more modern for our Accredited Partners.

Save time with online certificates

For example, RTITB Acccredited Partners don’t need to wait for hard-copy certificates to be created and posted. RTITB can send you a dual branded certificate within just 4 hours of upload. This saves time and means you can get skilled, productive operators into the workplace sooner.

We are also the first accrediting body to issue eCards instead of physical forklift operator ID cards. Helping to speed things up and keep costs down, whilst reducing single-use plastic and protecting our planet.

MyRTITB TrainingFriend App for digital assessment and admin

The TrainingFriend android app is exclusive for RTITB Accredited Partners. It makes lift truck operator training administration and testing 100% paperless for the first time. Paper-free means no more buying/printing/photocopying test marking sheets, training records, or registration forms. This reduces training administration time and costs.

The TrainingFriend app also helps improve operator testing standards and training record compliance. It ensures that Instructors select the correct test materials. And it helps them correctly calculate assessment results, and complete records accurately.

The TrainingFriend app can also integrate with a new cloud-based software available from RTITB. This revolutionises the way you manage a community of lift truck operators.

There is no need to rely on human-led documentation. Instead, the software stores full operator and instructor records. It also stores comprehensive compliance data. Plus, the software captures the details of Specific and Familiarisation training, operator observations and authorisation to operate.

It then analyses the data. The result is easy to use dashboards which show you when training is due, non-compliant operators, and site status.  And it can actively identify risk levels and provide intelligent interventions where necessary.

RTITB eLibrary to save Instructors time

RTITB Accredited Partners have access to the training materials they need, whenever and wherever they need them. All thanks to the RTITB eLibrary. This cloud-based resource provides the lift truck training materials needed to deliver Novice, Experienced, Conversion and Refresher training. This supports Instructors and saves them time, while also being cost efficient for your company.

Developed by our training experts, there is no compromise on standards. The online training materials include an extensive range of ready-to-go courses, with everything you need such as guides, presentations, safety codes, videos, printable posters, and more.

This helps you deliver courses for Counterbalance Forklift, Reach Trucks, MEWP (Access Platforms/Cherry Picker), VNA (Very Narrow Aisle Forklift), among others.

Compliance is covered

RTITB Accreditation gives companies the ability to easily keep clear and thorough training records. These show exactly what was covered in the training and its duration. The records also confirm that assessment took place under the correct conditions. This is essential for showing that the training meets what is required by law.

In the event of an incident, being able to prove compliance with the relevant guidance and legislation is key. So, we ensure that our RTITB Accredited Partners have all received the relevant audits to help them prove they are compliant if needed.

To make our audits more efficient, training records are no longer part of our in-person audits. Instead, our automated training record review system is used. This gives our experts on site more time to focus on overcoming any challenges and providing support. It also reduces disruption for companies, making training record reviews more predictable and easier to prepare for.

Firsts are nothing new to RTITB

Many of the above solutions for Accredited Partners are the first of their kind. But that is nothing new to RTITB. In fact, 20 years ago, RTITB was the first workplace transport accrediting body to create an operator registration scheme. The National Operator Registration Scheme (NORS) database verifies and records key lift truck operator training details to help maintain standards and safety. First launched in 2003, it continues to evolve with over 1.1 million registrations.

Marketing support for Training Providers

Our RTITB Accredited Partners all have access to an extensive free marketing toolkit. This can help whether you’re looking to secure new business, build your brand, support recruitment, or enhance employee engagement.

The toolkit is packed with simple resources that can help to promote the company and its achievements. The marketing toolkit includes support for social media content and blogs, as well as template press releases to use, and much more. We also offer our support with FREE LinkedIn Takeovers on our channels, and Google Ads every month to our Course Locator. All while demonstrating that you have achieved the RTITB Accreditation brand that customers look for and trust.
