Van Assessor Training
The Van Assessor training course provides candidates with the necessary skills to assess and report on the quality of any van driver. Whilst a Van Assessor course prepares candidates to carry out assessments, it does not prepare them to carry out remedial training. Courses are available on your site or as remote Instructor training for the theory element of the course.
By the end of the Van Assessor course candidates will:
- Be able to recall and discuss the duties and responsibilities of a Van Assessor
- Conduct driving assessments and give feedback and debriefs
- Produce factual, informative reports
All candidates must successfully complete an independent examination to qualify as an RTITB Assessor – an internationally recognised qualification.
Candidates who successfully complete the Van Assessor course will not be able to conduct any form of coaching or training. This includes helping people to address any shortcomings identified in an assessment to improve performance. They can only do this if they become qualified ADI’s (approved driving instructors). This is a legal requirement to be able to deliver Category B driver training.
The Van Assessor course is suitable for candidates who:
- Have significant experience as a professional van driver
- Have the confidence to objectively assess their work colleagues performance
- Have good attention to detail
- Have good written skills
- Have good verbal communication skills

Van Assessor Initial
A course for very experienced van drivers who wish to assess and report on the quality of van drivers, prior to employing or authorising them to work.
To deliver training on your site, you will need to meet all course resource requirements.Price per course, not per candidate (exclusive of VAT, travel and subsistence)
